Our Church Statement of Faith

     We believe in the one true God who exists in three persons (Father, Son, Holy Spirit). We believe He is the Creator of all things, and has placed each person on this earth for a special purpose. We believe He gave us the Holy Scriptures, which is entirely true and accurate, so that we can fulfill that purpose, which is: to know who God is, to recognize our need of a Savior, to understand that only through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus can we have a personal relationship with Him, and to live a life of service for His glory.

    We believe in Jesus soon return, in the sure hope of heaven for all who have put their trust in Jesus alone, and in the punishment of hell for those who reject His salvation.

Biblical Christianity

Christians are those who through salvation are united with God through the Lord Jesus Christ. They have exercised saving faith in the only Savior (1) Acts 4:12  Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. NKJV , the Lord Jesus Christ (2) John 3:15-18  that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. NKJV , and repented of their sins(3) Mark 2:17  When Jesus heard it, He said to them, "Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance."   Luke 13:3  I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.   Acts 3:19  Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, NKJV . God has forgiven their sins(4) Acts 10:43  To Him all the prophets witness that, through His name, whoever believes in Him will receive remission of sins."  Eph 1:7  In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace   1 John 1:7  But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.   1 John 1:9  If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.   NKJV , made them His children(5) Romans 8:16,17  The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,  and if children, then heirs — heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.   Galatians 4:7  Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.   Ephesians 1:4-7  just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love,   having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,   to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.  In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace  1 John 3:1,2  Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.  Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. NKJV , and transformed them into new creatures(6)  2 Corinthians 5:17  Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. NKJV indwelt by the Holy Spirit.(7) John 14:16,17  And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever —  the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. Romans 8:9,11  But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His.  But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.  1 Corinthians 3:16  Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?  1 Corinthians 6:19  Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?  Galatians 4:6  And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, "Abba, Father!" NKJV

Life as a Christian

The Christian life is to be made visible in many ways: Reverential fear of God(8)  Matthew 10:28  And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.  Luke 1:50  And His mercy is on those who fear Him From generation to generation.  2 Corinthians 7:1  Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. NKJV , a desire to be like Him(9)  Ephesians 5:1  Therefore be imitators of God as dear children.  1 John 2:6  He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked. NKJV , the pursuit of holiness(10)  Matthew 5:48  Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.  2 Corinthians 7:1  Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.  Hebrews 12:14  Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord:  1 Peter 1:15,16  but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct,   because it is written, "Be holy, for I am holy." NKJV , and obedience .(11)  John 10:27  My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.  John 14:21  He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him."  John 15:14  You are My friends if you do whatever I command you.  1 John 2:3-5  Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, "I know Him," and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. NKJV The chief characteristic of a Christian is love for his Lord and God(12)  Matt 22:37,38  Jesus said to him, "'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.'   This is the first and great commandment. NKJV . Jesus said, "He who has my commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me (13)  John 14:21  He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him." NKJV . And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him(14)  John 14:23  Jesus answered and said to him, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. NKJV .If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him." True children of God, Jesus declared, will love Him(15)  John 8:42  Jesus said to them, "If God were your Father, you would love Me , for I proceeded forth and came from God; nor have I come of Myself, but He sent Me. NKJV and be known by Him(16)  1 Corinthians 8:3  But if anyone loves God, this one is known by Him. NKJV .
